Minsk

Dear friend,

I’m waiting impatiently for you and your cousin arrival in our country and I hope that we’ll spend our time cool and not in vain.

There are many parks and gardens in Minsk. The symmetrical design of its straight streets, wide squares, numerous parks and gardens are particularly striking from the air.

The contemporary Minsk has an excellent service of trains and buses, occupying an ideal central position for visitors who can with the minimum of cost and inconvenience come to various places of the Republic.

I think it would be a good idea to visit Trinity Suburb. Trinity Suburb is one of the chief glories of Minsk, a delight of every visitor of taste. It’s a tangle of narrow streets lined with a fascinating array of little craft and curio shops. Trinity Suburb is one of the most popular places among the Minsk inhabitants and the guests. Several restaurants, cafes and bars are situated there. You can visit some exhibition halls, a literary museum and a Nature House. Trinity Suburb is one of the most ancient parts of Minsk.

The capital of our republic is a very beautiful city. Its squares, for example, Victory square with its magnificent obelisk, Yakub Kolas Square with a monument to the great poet in the centre, Holy Spirit Cathedral, St Alexander Nevski Church – everything is worth the attention of tourists.

If you want to get a good idea of Minsk you should walk along Francisk Scoryna Avenue which passes through the main squares – Yakub Kolas Square, Victory Square, Central Square and Independence Square.

Besides, we have a lot of restaurants like: “Ispansky kutok”, “Pechki-lavochki”, “Patio Pizza”, “Planeta Sushi”, “Beze”, “Rostiks” and so on. You can find food in these restaurants to your taste: from usual belorussian to exotic food of different countries.

Moreover, in our country there are many disco-clubs such as: “Isume”, “Madison Club”, “Jamaica”, “Bronx”, etc. That’s why, you see, that every night will be a “hot” one.

I hope that you find my suggestions helpful and I look forward to see you in Minsk.

Your faithfully,
Lartchenkova Natasha
