Writing Assignment 3. Reports/Letters of Application

Hello everyone:
The Dean has asked you to write a report on the conditions at the faculty and to suggest ways in which the situation could be imporoved for students and staff. ( topics to consider: Students' Budget, Parking Lots, Faculty Club, Canteen, Bus stops, Exams, etc )

Please remember, that reports are usually written for a person in authority. They normally contain some description and often include our suggestions or recommendations for the future action.
Information is presented in separate sections. Each section has an appropriate heading to help the reader identify what the report contains.
An information report consists of an introduction, a main body and a final paragraph in which you summarise all points mentioned before.

You may try to write a letter of application to get a summer job. Before writing,
please do ex. 9 and 10 p. 59 ( SB ).
