My English Class on Wednesday

Dear Instructor,

I am writing to ask if you could excuse me for my English class on Wednesday, 20th October.

I regret to inform you that I can't come.

I am used to attending theater club. And my first performance –“The Importance of Being Earnest” – will take place on 20th October. It will be held in faculty assembly hall and it starts at 11.00. I am confident that it would be a remarkable event. I am afraid I would not de able to come.
It would be most grateful if you be so kind as to allow me to make our class work at home. I would greatly appreciate if you could send me a mail with the tasks are to be done. I hope that my request will not inconvenience you too much.

I must apologize for troubling you with this matter .
